Reading is not enough...

Reading is good by all means. It's one of the most easiest things to do in life, once mastered, it opens way more doors that it closes. All the good things librarians, teachers, and parents say about reading comes to mind. But, excuse my brief extremeness in the matter. I have read too much lately, not learned much from it, memorized tidbits to be used in random conversations god knows when, and to top it off, missed the opportunity to do practical things because I was wasting time reading. Sound stupid? It is. I'm coming off reading binge. You would think it would be normal for a college student. Not for me though. Damn my non-conforming behaviour. Back to the binge, It's really easy to do especially on the internet. Almost any type of content will suffice, forums, blogs. There is so much about my interests and hobbies. Who am I talking to after all? Alas, I am an optimist, and therefore there is still plenty of time to do all those practical things I've missed out on. It's never too late.
